Leipzig Poultry Exhibition - LIPSIA 2026
LIPSIA is the traditional federal poultry show (Bundesschau) of the Leipziger Rassegefluegelzuechterverein 1869 e.V., staged each December on the Leipziger Messe exhibition grounds in Leipzig, Saxony. The 130th edition runs from 4 to 6 December 2026 at the Neue Messe Leipzig, held together with the 108th Nationale Rassegefluegelschau of the BDRG (Bund Deutscher Rassegefluegelzuechter), the German national show for pure-bred poultry.
The organiser expects more than 22,500 exhibition animals, covering large and bantam chickens, waterfowl and pigeons, judged in breed and colour classes. The programme includes special breed shows, the Siegerring best-in-show competition and an exhibition of the breeds of the year, alongside an industry section where suppliers of feed, housing, incubators, health products and breeding equipment present to a specialist trade audience.
Breeders, club delegates and hobbyists travel from all over Germany and from neighbouring European countries. A printed DIN A4 exhibition catalogue is published for the three show days and serves as the on-site guide and reference work.
The venue is the Leipziger Messe fairground at Messe-Allee 1, 04356 Leipzig. Entry is by day ticket, with reduced conditions for children; opening hours, admission prices and the animal-sale arrangements for the 2026 edition are published on the organiser's website, which also hosts the exhibitor portal, hall plans, breed directories and the show regulations.
