The Milford Oyster Festival, held August 14‑15, 2026 at Fowler Field in downtown Milford, CT, is a two‑night evening event featuring locally sourced oysters from Briarpatch Shellfish Company, a wide selection of food stalls, craft beer, wine, and other beverages. Live music is a centerpiece, with acts such as Backstage Pass (80s rock tribute), School of Rock (young local musicians), Philadelphia Freedom (Elton John tribute), and Almost Queen (Queen tribute) performing across both nights. Amusement rides are available, with wristbands sold per day. Admission is $8 per night; children 13 and under enter free with an adult. The festival operates rain or shine, offers free downtown parking, and provides ATMs on site. Volunteers and sponsors are welcomed, and the event continues the town’s tradition dating back to 1975, emphasizing sustainable oyster practices and community celebration.
