What is ARCOmadrid? Curated Programs.

ARCOmadrid is the International Contemporary Art Fair of Spain that, since its creation, constitutes one of the main platforms of the contemporary art market. In 2024 it celebrated its 43rd anniversary. edition with the Caribbean Sea as the central project. The program curated by Carla Acevedo-Yates and Sara Hermann Morera, ‘The shore, the tide, the current: an oceanic Caribbean’, has revolved around the artistic scenes of the territories connected by this sea. In addition, ARCOmadrid 2024 has once again presented artistic content with the General Program galleries as the main axis of the Fair, selected by the Committee. Organizer, well such as the “Opening” section, curated by Cristina Anglada and Yina Jiménez Suriel, where a selection of young galleries has been presented. The section ‘Never the Same. Latin American Art’, curated by José Esparza Chong Cuy and Manuela Moscoso, has continued to strengthen the historical link between ARCOmadrid and Latin American art.

The General Program of ARCOmadrid is made up of galleries and projects selected by the Committee Organizer.

ARCOmadrid hosts different curated sections that present research on territories and reflections on art today, young artists and galleries and the links between the fair and Latin America, among others.
